FANS of Sarah Geronimo are complaining because she reportedly got only P200, 000 as talent fee in “A Very Special Love” and a little higher in “You Changed My Life,” whereas KC Concepcion gets P5 million per movie. “Di hamak na mas malaki ang kita ng movies ni Sarah kaysa kay KC,” they wrote us. “Unfair namang sobrang liit ang bayad sa kanya kumpara kay KC.”
It’s said that KC gets an even bigger talent fee than Judy Ann Santos or Piolo Pascual who get only P3 to P4 million per project. “What did she do to deserve this very big talent fee?” Sarah’s fans want to know.
All we can say is: don’t blame KC. It’s not her fault that her manager, Shirley Kuan, is more successful in clinching bigger deals for her. This is what happens when a manager is good in bargaining for their talents, like Annabelle Rama who obtained multi-million peso deals for Heart Evangelista when she signed up with GMA-7 and Mommy Rose Flaminiano who also got a big fat talent fee for Gabby Concepcion with ABS-CBN. Maybe, Sarah’s managers should demand more.
In fairness to Viva Films, they say it’s not true that Sarah got only P200,000. That amount is only from Star Cinema’s end. Since her movies are co-prods with Viva, she got another bigger salary from them. Plus she also got a P1 million bonus. Is that enough to satisfy Sarah protectors?
